Quest Engineering MX6 6 inch Two-Way Weatherproof Surface Speaker

Overview

The MX6 is the mid-sized surface mount speaker in Quest's MX Series, and for most indoor and outdoor jobs it is the one to reach for first. A 6 inch woofer and 1 inch dome tweeter sit in a compact, low profile ASA enclosure with UV stabilised materials and a corrosion resistant powder coated aluminium grille. It runs at 16 ohm or on 70V and 100V lines with taps of 10, 20, 30 and 40 W, so the same box works on a low impedance amplifier in a cafe or on a 100V line run around a school courtyard.

The cabinet is rated IP55 as standard and IP65 once you fit the included weatherproof connector cover, which makes it a straightforward choice for alfresco dining areas, pool decks, church outdoor spaces, sports courts and covered walkways. The UB1X wall bracket ships in the box, so there is no separate mount to order for a standard wall install. If you need to hang it from a ceiling, add the UB2X bracket.

It comes in black (RAL 9004) or white (RAL 9003) and is voiced to match the rest of the MX range, so you can mix MX6 surface speakers with MX6C ceiling speakers or MX6P pendants in one venue and keep the sound consistent from zone to zone. Both colours are listed here; note that the white version may be priced differently.
