Overview
The Qi5 is the smallest full-range speaker in Quest's Qi Series and the one to use when a bar, restaurant, cafe or small function room needs proper point source sound from a box that stays out of the way. A 1 inch compression driver on a rotatable 120 x 80 degree horn sits above a 5 inch woofer, so you can mount it horizontally or vertically and still aim the pattern where the people are.
The cabinet is marine plywood with a polyurea coating, built to keep resonance down and to shrug off knocks in busy venues, and the steel mesh grille is backed with fabric for a clean look. It is a 16 ohm design rated at 135 W RMS, with 91.4 dB sensitivity and 118.7 dB maximum SPL, which makes it easy to run several per channel on a Quest QX or QXD amplifier. Connection is a 4-pin Euroblock with in and thru for daisy chaining.
Mounting options are the HBRQi5 horizontal bracket, VBRQi5 vertical bracket and WMQi5 wall mount, all finished in matching black or white, and the UB1X and UB2X brackets also fit. Add the Qi12S subwoofer if the room needs low end for live music or DJs. Available in black (RAL 9004) or white (RAL 9003); the white version is priced differently, so check the variant selector.
