Overview
The M-AHM-64-AX is the processing expansion module for the Allen & Heath AHM-64 audio matrix processor. It fits the internal processing slot and adds 12 channels of acoustic echo cancelling (AEC), each with 150 ms of echo tail, for hybrid meeting rooms, boardrooms, lecture theatres and churches streaming to remote participants. Since firmware V1.60 it can instead run feedback suppression (FBS): up to 8 engines, one per mono or stereo zone, each with up to 25 fixed or live bands. AEC is inserted on input channels and FBS on zones, both set up in AHM System Manager.
Highlights
- 12 channels of AEC with 150 ms tail per channel
- One AEC reference per setup, multi mic rooms up to 12 mics
- Alternative FBS mode: up to 8 engines, 25 bands each
- Inserted on inputs (AEC) or zones (FBS)
- Internal module, configured in AHM System Manager
Compatibility
Works with: Allen & Heath AHM-64 only. It does not fit the AHM-32 or the AHM-16, which has no processing expansion option. AEC needs AHM firmware V1.10 or later and FBS needs V1.60 or later; run the latest firmware.

Forefront Tip
Feed the far end audio as the AEC reference and keep room speakers out of the mic's direct path; AEC cleans up echo, it does not fix bad mic placement. It slides into a covered slot on the AHM-64 with a Torx T8, so it can be added later without stripping the unit.
