Quest Engineering Qi12 12 inch Two-Way Installation Loudspeaker

Overview

The Qi12 is Quest's high-output 12 inch point source for installed sound in churches, auditoriums, live venues, large function rooms and school performance spaces. It moves up to a 1.4 inch compression driver on a rotatable 80 x 50 degree horn, which tightens the pattern for longer throw and better control in reverberant rooms, and pairs it with a 12 inch woofer for 127.2 dB maximum SPL and response down to 60 Hz.

A bi-amp/passive switch on the back lets you run it full-range on a single amplifier channel or split the horn and woofer across two channels of a Quest QXD and use its DSP presets for crossover and alignment. Either way it is an 8 ohm, 300 W RMS load. The marine plywood cabinet has a polyurea coating and an acoustically transparent steel mesh grille, so it reads as part of the building rather than a piece of PA gear.

Mount it horizontally with the HBRQi12 bracket or vertically with the VBRQi12, both in matching black or white, and add a Qi12S or Qi18S subwoofer for full bandwidth. If it is going outdoors, the Qi12E is the IP55 version with the same drivers. Available in black (RAL 9004) or white (RAL 9003); the white version is priced differently, so check the variant selector.
