Overview
The Qi25 takes the Qi5 recipe and doubles the low frequency section: two 5 inch woofers either side of a 1 inch compression driver on a rotatable 120 x 80 degree horn, in a slim 440 x 170 x 200 mm column cabinet. The result is noticeably more mid-bass and output than the Qi5 while keeping a narrow profile that sits neatly beside a screen, on a church wall, in a function room or along a restaurant soffit.
It is an 8 ohm design rated at 270 W RMS with 94.5 dB sensitivity and 124.9 dB maximum SPL, enough for speech and full-range music in medium rooms without a subwoofer, and a solid front of house pair for small live rooms when matched with the Qi12S sub. The cabinet is marine plywood with a polyurea finish and a smooth steel mesh grille, so it looks finished rather than industrial.
Quest offers the HBRQi25 horizontal bracket, VBRQi25 vertical bracket and WMQi25 wall mount in matching black or white, and the UB1X and UB2X brackets also fit. Connection is a 4-pin Euroblock in and thru. Drive it from a Quest QX or QXD amplifier, the QXD giving you factory DSP presets. Available in black (RAL 9004) or white (RAL 9003); the white version is priced differently, so check the variant selector.
