Quest Engineering Qi8 8 inch Two-Way Installation Loudspeaker

Overview

The Qi8 is the workhorse of Quest's Qi Series: an 8 inch two-way point source that covers larger restaurants, lounges, retail floors, school halls, church auditoriums and multipurpose rooms with full, dynamic sound while still looking like it belongs on the wall. A 1 inch compression driver on a rotatable 90 x 70 degree horn sits over an 8 inch woofer in a marine plywood cabinet with polyurea coating.

At 8 ohm and 200 W RMS, with 94.1 dB sensitivity and 123.2 dB maximum SPL, a pair on a Quest QX or QXD amplifier will comfortably handle speech, background and foreground music in a medium room, and a distributed set of four to six will cover a large hall. The horn rotates so you get the same pattern whether the cabinet is mounted horizontally under a mezzanine or vertically beside a stage. Connection is a 4-pin Euroblock with in and thru.

Mount it with the HBRQi8 horizontal bracket, VBRQi8 vertical bracket or WMQi8 wall mount, all available in matching black or white. For live music or anything with real low end, add the Qi12S subwoofer and let the QXD presets handle the crossover. If the speaker is going outside, look at the Qi8E weatherproof version instead. Available in black (RAL 9004) or white (RAL 9003); the white version is priced differently, so check the variant selector.
