Overview
The Qi8E is the outdoor version of the Qi8. It keeps the same 1 inch compression driver on a rotatable 90 x 70 degree horn, the same 8 inch woofer and the same 200 W RMS, 8 ohm rating, and adds the protection you need for beer gardens, rooftop bars, pool areas, outdoor school assembly spaces, sports facilities and covered courtyards. The marine plywood cabinet is coated inside and out with a UV resistant polyurea finish, and every external fastener and the grille mesh are stainless steel, giving an IP55 rating.
Because the acoustics are identical to the Qi8, you can run Qi8 indoors and Qi8E outside on the same system and the sound stays consistent when guests move from the dining room to the terrace. Sensitivity is 94.1 dB and maximum SPL 123.2 dB, so a pair on a Quest QX or QXD amplifier covers a decent-sized outdoor area with headroom for music.
It uses the same HBRQi8 horizontal and VBRQi8 vertical brackets as the Qi8, in matching black or white. Pair it with a Qi12S subwoofer under cover if the venue wants DJ-level low end. Available in black (RAL 9004) or white (RAL 9003); the white version is priced differently, so check the variant selector before ordering.
