Overview
The Sennheiser EW-D SKM-S Base Set is a digital handheld wireless system for people who sing or speak, supplied without a capsule so you can choose the head that suits the voice. It pairs the EW-D EM rack receiver with the EW-D SKM-S handheld, a metal bodied transmitter with a programmable mute switch that suits presenters, worship leaders and MCs.
Setup is quick: the receiver auto scans for clear frequencies, syncs at the press of a button and can be managed from the EW-D Smart Assist app. The 134 dB dynamic range means there are no sensitivity settings to get wrong. The set ships with two AA batteries; add a BA 70 pack for longer run time. FFP supplies Australian legal bands and can advise which suits your venue.

Forefront Tip
Budget for the capsule and batteries when you order. For spoken word and worship we usually fit the MMD 935, and add an EW-D Charging Set so the team swaps to fresh BA 70 packs every service instead of buying AAs.
