Overview
The LS-308 is the mic for tight spaces and loud neighbours. Its very focused pickup hears what it's pointed at and shuts out what's beside and behind it, so you can mic a guitar amp right next to a drum kit, or several musicians in a small room, and still get clean, separate tracks.
It has a darker, smooth character that Lauten describe as ribbon-like, which flatters guitar cabs, toms and snare bottom, and it takes up to 135 dB without a pad. Low cut and high cut switches shape the sound at the mic, and it comes with two mounts, a windscreen and a road case.

Forefront Tip
On a crowded church stage, point the back of the LS-308 at the loudest thing you don't want in the channel (usually the drums or the bass amp). Its rear rejection does more for a clean mix than any amount of EQ.
