Overview
The LSC NEXEN R8 is an eight port Ethernet to DMX/RDM gateway in a 1RU full width rack chassis. All eight ports are on female XLR5, each can be set as an input or output, and a colour LCD touchscreen gives setup and status from the front of the rack. It converts Art-Net, sACN and ArtRDM with full isolation on every port.
Both gigabit ethercon ports are on the front panel, and power comes from mains through a powerCON TRUE1 in and thru, or from PoE. It is the main distribution node for larger rigs in theatres, arenas, churches, touring racks and hire.

Forefront Tip
Patch one universe per port and label the front panel to match your lighting plot, so whoever is on the desk can see which bar is on which output. Both network ports are on the front, which keeps a spare link handy for a laptop running HOUSTON X during focus.
