Overview
The DiGiCo DQ-Rack is the Dante version of the Q-Rack format: a 6U stage rack with 48 mic inputs and 24 XLR outputs, connected over Dante on primary and secondary etherCON ports. The last four outputs can switch to AES/EBU, giving 20 line outputs plus 4 stereo AES pairs, for up to 28 output channels.
It pairs with the DMI-DANTE64@96 card in the console, which gives access to all rack inputs and outputs at both 48 kHz and 96 kHz. Because it is a Dante device it can sit on a wider Dante network alongside recorders, wireless receivers and processors. Dual redundant PSUs are standard and there are no card slots to load.
Highlights
- 48 XLR mic inputs
- 20 XLR line outputs plus 4 switchable AES/line outputs
- Dante on primary and secondary etherCON ports
- Full I/O at 48 kHz and 96 kHz via DMI-DANTE64@96
- Dual redundant PSUs as standard
- Compact 6U frame, 11 kg
Compatibility
Works with: DiGiCo consoles with DMI slots fitted with a DMI-DANTE64@96 card (MODDMIDANTE2), including S21, S31, SD12 and Quantum 225, 326 and 338. SD9 and SD11 have no DMI slots, so they need a different rack such as the D-Rack or MQ-Rack. No card slots; nothing to add to the rack.

Forefront Tip
Run the secondary Dante port on a physically separate switch for true redundancy, and set the console's DMI-DANTE64@96 card as the clock leader in Dante Controller. One DMI-DANTE64@96 card covers the full 48 in and 28 out of a single DQ-Rack at 96 kHz.
