Overview
The Sennheiser EW-D SKM-S is a rugged metal bodied digital handheld transmitter with a programmable mute switch, built for presenters, worship leaders and vocalists. It takes the standard Sennheiser and Neumann capsule interface, so you can choose the sound that suits the voice, and it pairs with any EW-D EM receiver on the same band.
It runs on two AA batteries or a BA 70 rechargeable pack, and the 134 dB dynamic range means no sensitivity adjustment. Capsule sold separately. At Forefront we usually pair it with the MMD 935 or MMD 945, because the 9 series capsules make the most of the clean digital signal. FFP supplies Australian legal bands and can advise which suits your venue.

Forefront Tip
Set the mute switch to suit who is holding it. For a presenter or preacher, AF mute keeps the link up so there is no pop or resync when they unmute. For a hire kit going out to unknown users, set it to no function so nobody mutes themselves by accident.
