Overview
The AR2412 is the 3U rack mount workhorse of the dSNAKE range: 24 recallable mic preamps and 12 balanced XLR line outputs on one Cat5 cable, up to 100 m from the mixer. It is the stage rack that shipped with a lot of GLD and Qu systems and it still suits SQ, Avantis and AHM-64.
Two extra ports set it apart. The Monitor port sends 40 channels to an Allen & Heath ME personal mixing system (and is compatible with Aviom Pro16), and the Expander port adds an AR84 for another 8 inputs and 4 outputs at a second position. That gives you 32 in and 16 out from one trunk.

Compatibility
Works with: Allen & Heath SQ-5, SQ-6, SQ-7, SQ5+, SQ6+, SQ7+ and SQ-Rack (SLink, or the I/O port with an SLink card M-SQ-SLINK-A), Avantis and Avantis Solo (SLink), Qu-5, Qu-6 and Qu-7 (SLink), Qu Classic (dSNAKE port) and AHM matrix processors (AHM-64 built in SLink, AHM-16 and AHM-32 with an SLink I/O card). It also suits legacy GLD systems. The Expander port takes an AR84 or AB168 and the Monitor port feeds ME personal mixers.
AR2412 is the older 48kHz dSNAKE format, not DX. It does not connect to dLive, the DX Hub, DX Link cards or CQ mixers. For 96kHz systems the DX168 or GX4816 are the current choices.

Forefront Tip
If you are running ME personal mixers, plug the first ME-1 or the ME-U hub into the AR2412 Monitor port rather than the SLink. It keeps the monitor feed at the stage and saves a long Cat5 run back to FOH.
