Overview
Avantis takes the 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine from dLive and puts it in a 24 fader surface with two 15.6 inch Full HD capacitive touchscreens. Out of the box it runs 64 input channels and 42 fully configurable busses, with 12 RackExtra FX engines on dedicated stereo returns and 16 DCAs. Latency through the console is 0.7ms.
Local I/O covers 12 XLR mic/line inputs, 12 XLR outputs, stereo AES in and two stereo AES outs, plus USB stereo record and playback and BNC word clock. The real expansion is around the back: two I/O Ports that each carry 128x128 at 96kHz and accept the same option cards as dLive, plus an SLink port for DX, GX and ME. Add dPack for 96 inputs, 56 busses, 24 Dyn8 and the DEEP processing library, and the RackUltra FX module for eight premium FX engines. It suits churches, theatres, corporate AV and touring monitor work where a dLive is more than the job needs.

Forefront Tip
Put the Dante card in I/O Port 1 for recording and the second port to work as a gigaACE or fibreACE split to monitors. If you think you will want dPack later, the AVANTIS/DPACK-BUNDLE or the Avantis Ultra (AVANTIS-U) usually works out cleaner than buying the parts separately.
