Overview
The Austrian Audio CC8 Stereo Set is two CC8 cardioid small diaphragm true condenser microphones, hand built in Vienna around the OCC7 capsule, with a stereo bar and case. Every CC8 is measured to within ±0.5 dB sensitivity at 1 kHz, so the pair are matched straight out of the box.
The transformerless output gives a natural, open sound and, with the pad, handles up to 156 dB SPL. That makes the set a ready made stereo pair for drum overheads, piano, choirs, orchestras and ensembles in studios, churches, schools and theatres.

Forefront Tip
Use the stereo bar to set up an XY pair for a mono safe recording, or ORTF for a wider image. For a church or school choir, place the pair a little above head height and back from the front row, so you capture the whole group rather than the closest voices.
