Overview
The Austrian Audio OC707 is a handheld true condenser vocal microphone that brings studio style detail to the stage. It captures the subtleties of a voice clearly and naturally, so the vocal sits on top of the mix without needing heavy EQ.
Austrian Audio's Open Acoustics design lets sound reach the handmade OCC7 ceramic capsule with very few reflections, and the cardioid pattern rejects sound from behind and off axis, which helps with feedback and bleed from the band. It is built to cope with everyday stage use. It suits singers in jazz, acoustic, worship and classical settings, churches, venues and hire stock where vocal clarity matters.

Forefront Tip
The OC707 needs 48 V phantom power, so make sure phantom is switched on for that channel before the singer arrives, and check any stage box or splitter passes it. Condenser vocal mics pick up more detail at a distance than a dynamic, so coach singers to stay close to the grille and point the back of the mic at the wedge.
