Overview
The DMI-AES adds 16 channels (8 pairs) of AES3 input and 16 channels (8 pairs) of output to a DiGiCo console over two 25-way D-sub connectors. It is ideal for feeding digital amplifiers and processors, bringing in stereo effects returns or patching L/R mixes between systems.

Compatibility
Works with: Quantum 338, Quantum 326, Quantum 225 (including 225DS), S21, S31, SD12 and Orange Box, plus the DiGiCo 4REA4. Each has two DMI slots of up to 64 x 64 I/O. SD9 and SD11 have no DMI slots.

Forefront Tip
Because the inputs have SRC, external AES sources do not need to be clocked to the desk. The outputs follow the console clock, so anything downstream should lock to the AES stream or to a common word clock.
