Overview
The DiGiCo ADAT I/O card adds 8 inputs and 8 outputs of ADAT Lightpipe to an SD Series stage rack. It is a simple way to bring in or feed outboard converters, preamps, playback interfaces and recorders that speak ADAT, using standard Toslink optical cable.
Like every SD rack module it is hot pluggable and is identified automatically by the rack.
Highlights
- 8 channels in and 8 channels out over ADAT optical
- Two Toslink connectors, one in and one out
- Hot pluggable and auto detected by the rack
- Fits SD-Rack, SD-MiNi Rack and SD-Nano Rack
Compatibility
Works with: DiGiCo SD-Rack (14 slots, 10RU), SD-MiNi Rack (4 slots, 4RU) and SD-Nano Rack (2 slots, 2RU), in both MADI and Optocore (HMA, opticalCON, ST) frames. The rack then connects to SD12, S21, S31, Quantum 225, Quantum 326 and Quantum 338 consoles over MADI (console BNC ports or a DMI-MADI-B card) or over an Optocore loop.
In an SD-Rack this card goes in one of the seven input slots (input and I/O cards share the input side). In an SD-MiNi or SD-Nano it can go in any slot.

Forefront Tip
This card only runs at 48 kHz, so it will not pass audio if the rack or loop is set to 96 kHz. Keep ADAT runs short and clock the ADAT device from the DiGiCo side.
