Overview
The DiGiCo SD-MiNi Rack packs the SD-Rack card format into a 4U frame. It has four card slots, each taking an input or output card, for up to 32 inputs and 32 outputs with digital cards, or 32 analogue ins or outs in any combination in banks of eight. This is the MADI only version (X-SDRM-MADI), shipped unloaded.
It connects to the console on redundant BNC MADI Main and Aux ports and has two split MADI outputs for recording or a second system. At 48 kHz the MADI cabling is redundant with two full split streams; at 96 kHz both ports are used together for full I/O. It runs from 44.1 to 192 kHz, supports Gain Tracking and has twin internal PSUs.

Compatibility
Works with: DiGiCo SD11, SD12 and Quantum 225, 326 and 338 over their BNC MADI ports, and with S21 and S31 via a DMI-MADI-B card (MODDMIMADIB). The SD9 connects directly on its BNC MADI port.

Forefront Tip
On an S21 or S31 a DMI-MADI-B card carries 64 channels each way, more than the 32 x 32 a single SD-MiNi needs. Use 75 ohm coax rated for MADI and keep runs under about 100 m. Order cards with the rack, for example 3 x MODSDRADC32B and 1 x MODSDRDAC32B for a 24 in, 8 out stage box.
