Overview
The DiGiCo SD9 brings DiGiCo's Stealth Digital Processing and Super FPGA engine to a light, small footprint console that works on the road, in a theatre, a conference centre or a church. It has been a workhorse for production companies and venues for years because the workflow matches the larger SD desks.
You get 96 input channels at 48 kHz or 96 kHz, 48 busses that can all be set as groups or auxes, and a 12 x 8 matrix that sits on top of your bus count rather than taking from it. There are 155 dynamic EQs, 155 multiband compressors and 155 DiGiTuBes, plus 16 graphic EQs and 12 stereo effects. The surface has 24 motorised faders and a 15 inch touchscreen, with electronic channel labelling.
Locally there are 8 mic inputs, 8 line outputs, 4 AES/EBU and MADI, with two dedicated D-Rack ports. DiGiCo pairs the SD9 with a D-Rack (32 in, 8 out, expandable to 16), and a second D-Rack takes you to 72 mic inputs. Ask us exactly what is included with this listing. Forefront Tip
Run your D-Rack on a good quality shielded Cat5e drum and carry a spare cable, because that one run is your whole stage. If the desk is going on tour or into hire stock, spec the optional redundant internal PSU and budget for a proper flight case at the same time.
