Overview
The DiGiCo MQ-Rack is a 6U stage rack with 48 mic inputs and 24 XLR outputs, connected to the console on dual BNC MADI Main and Aux ports. The last four outputs can switch to AES/EBU, giving 20 line outputs plus 4 stereo AES pairs, for a maximum of 28 output channels.
At 48 kHz the rack can be shared between any two SD Range or Quantum consoles, or used for digital splits to recording. At 96 kHz the console combines both MADI ports into a single connection with no loss of I/O. Dual redundant PSUs are standard. It has no card slots, so it arrives ready to use with no extra cards to order for the rack itself.
Highlights

Compatibility
Works with: DiGiCo SD Range and Quantum consoles with BNC MADI, including SD9, SD11, SD12 and Quantum 225, 326 and 338. On S21 and S31 it connects via a DMI-MADI-B card (MODDMIMADIB). No card slots; nothing to add to the rack.

Forefront Tip
If FOH and monitors share one MQ-Rack, connect each console to one MADI port at 48 kHz and use Gain Tracking on the console so the monitor engineer is not chasing FOH gain changes. For 96 kHz shows both ports go to one console, so plan a separate split for monitors.
