Overview
The DiGiCo D2-Rack DI is the digital input version of the D2-Rack: 24 mic inputs plus 24 AES/EBU input channels on 12 XLRs, with 16 XLR line outputs, in a 9U frame. This version (X-D2-DI-M) connects to the console on dual redundant MADI Main and Aux ports on BNC coax.
Two output expansion slots add up to 16 more outputs, for a total of 32. The rack runs from 44.1 to 192 kHz; at 48 kHz it can be shared between two DiGiCo consoles or used for digital splits to recording, and the two MADI ports can be combined into a single 96 kHz connection with no loss of I/O. Twin internal PSUs are standard and an LCD menu and USB port allow standalone setup with DiGiCo Control software.

Compatibility
Works with: DiGiCo SD9, SD11, SD12 and Quantum 225, 326 and 338 over their BNC MADI ports, and with S21 and S31 via a DMI-MADI-B card (MODDMIMADIB).

Forefront Tip
BNC MADI lets you run longer coax and patch through standard broadcast infrastructure. Use the AES inputs for wireless receivers and playback, and keep those devices clocked to the console. If you only need analogue inputs, the all analogue D2-Rack BNC (D2ANM) gives 48 mic pres instead.
