Overview
The M-DL-ADAPT-A is a letter box adaptor that lets the older 48 kHz iLive and GLD option cards work in a 96 kHz dLive or Avantis I/O port. The iLive/GLD card slots into the adaptor, and the adaptor handles multichannel sample rate conversion so the card runs at 48 kHz while the console runs at 96 kHz.
It is a practical way to keep using cards you already own when moving from iLive or GLD, or to talk to a 48 kHz system that already uses those formats.

Forefront Tip
For new systems a native card (M-DL-DANT64-AX or M-DL-SMADI-A) gives you 96 kHz and more channels for not much more. The adaptor makes most sense when you already own the iLive or GLD card.
