Overview
This is a complete Avantis system in one order: a full size Avantis console, the dPack upgrade, a GX4816 stage box and the Avantis dust cover. The console is the 24 fader, dual 15.6 inch touchscreen Avantis on the 96kHz XCVI engine, with dPack taking it to 96 inputs and 56 busses with 24 Dyn8 engines and the DEEP processing library.
The GX4816 is Allen & Heath's 48 XLR input, 16 XLR output 96kHz expander. It connects to the Avantis SLink port over a single CAT5e or CAT6 run, so with the console's own 12 local inputs you have 60 mic inputs before touching an I/O Port. GX4816 also has DX expansion for extra DX boxes and an ME port for personal mixers. That leaves both 128x128 I/O Ports free for a Dante card for recording, a gigaACE or fibreACE split to monitors, or Waves. The fitted dust cover keeps the surface clean between gigs. It suits churches, schools and production companies moving to a 96kHz stage box system in one step.

Compatibility
The GX4816 connects to the Avantis SLink port. Both I/O Ports accept the dLive and Avantis card range (Dante, Waves, gigaACE, fibreACE, superMADI, DX Link, AES). Add DX168 or DX164-W boxes from the GX4816 DX ports, ME-1 or ME-500 personal mixers, and IP or Custom Control remotes. Optional: M-AV-ULTRAFX, AVANT-BRKT/X, AVANTIS-OV-CASE.

Forefront Tip
Use shielded CAT5e or CAT6 with EtherCon ends for the SLink run to the GX4816 and carry a spare drum. Allen & Heath sell 50, 80 and 100 metre CAT6 Etherflex drums for this.
