Overview
The M-DL-AES2I8O-A is the 2in 8out version of the Allen & Heath AES3 card for dLive and Avantis, with 2 stereo AES3 inputs and 8 stereo AES3 outputs on XLR connectors. It is built for systems that mostly feed amps and processors but need a couple of digital returns, such as a CD player, playback rig or wireless receiver.
The outputs can be set to 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96 kHz to suit the downstream gear, and everything is patched from the I/O screen on the console.

Compatibility
Works with: dLive MixRacks (CDM32, CDM48, CDM64 with 1 I/O port; DM0, DM32, DM48, DM64 with 3 I/O ports), dLive surfaces (C1500, C2500, C3500 with 1 port; S3000, S5000, S7000 with 2 ports) and Avantis, Avantis Solo and the U versions (2 option slots). Requires dLive firmware V1.5 or later.

Forefront Tip
Only bypass input SRC when the AES source shares the console's 96 kHz clock. Otherwise leave SRC on and the card takes care of mismatched sources.
