Overview
The M-DL-GOPT fibreACE card carries 128 bidirectional channels at 96 kHz over multimode fibre (Neutrik opticalCON DUO) up to 500 metres, or over Cat5e up to 100 metres. Both copper and fibre modes support dual cable redundancy.
It has three modes: Copper and Fibre for links between dLive or Avantis systems and digital splits, and Convert, which replaces the dLive MixRack to surface gigaACE link with fibre for long FOH runs.
Highlights
- 128 x 128 channels at 96 kHz
- opticalCON DUO multimode fibre up to 500 m
- Copper mode over Cat5e up to 100 m
- Convert mode for a fibre MixRack to surface link
- Dual cable redundancy, 52 microsecond latency
Compatibility
Works with: dLive MixRacks (CDM32, CDM48, CDM64 with 1 I/O port; DM0, DM32, DM48, DM64 with 3 I/O ports), dLive surfaces (C1500, C2500, C3500 with 1 port; S3000, S5000, S7000 with 2 ports) and Avantis, Avantis Solo and the U versions (2 option slots). Convert mode applies to the dLive MixRack to surface link.

Forefront Tip
Convert mode needs a card at each end, one in the MixRack and one in the surface. Use tactical multimode opticalCON DUO cable and keep the connector caps on; dirty ends are the most common fibre fault we see.
