Overview
The MX4P is the compact pendant in Quest's MX Series, made for spaces with exposed ceilings, open trusses or services where a flush in-ceiling speaker is not an option. Think warehouse-style cafes, co-working spaces, retail fit-outs, converted church halls and modern office breakout areas. It hangs from a single point and gives even coverage over the floor below.
Inside is the same 4 inch die-cast aluminium woofer and 1 inch titanium dome tweeter as the MX4C ceiling speaker, so if your venue has a mix of plasterboard ceilings and open areas you can run MX4C and MX4P side by side and the sound will match. The ASA injection moulded housing has a rimless magnetic steel grille, a Euroblock in and thru connection for daisy chaining, and a safety cable point.
It is switchable between 16 ohm and 70V/100V operation, with 100V taps at 4, 8, 15 and 30 W and 70V taps at 2, 4, 8 and 15 W. Each pendant ships with grille and top hat and is available in black (RAL 9004) or white (RAL 9003); the white version may be priced differently. Pair it with a Quest QX or QXD amplifier, and add the MX subwoofer if the music needs more weight than a 4 inch driver can give.
