Overview
The MX6P is the full-size pendant in Quest's MX Series. It is the pick for open ceiling venues that need more output and low end than a 4 inch pendant can manage: bars and restaurants with high exposed ceilings, gyms, auditoriums with service-filled roofs, large retail floors and worship spaces where in-ceiling mounting is not possible.
It carries the same 6 inch woofer and 1 inch dome tweeter as the MX6C ceiling speaker, with 91 dB sensitivity and 113 dB maximum SPL from 75 W RMS. Coverage is 130 degrees conical, which gives wide, even spread across the floor from a typical hanging height. Operation is switchable between 16 ohm and 70V/100V, with 100V taps at 10, 20, 30 and 40 W and 70V taps at 5, 10, 15 and 20 W.
The ASA injection moulded housing has a rimless magnetic steel grille and Euroblock in and thru connectors for daisy chaining a run of pendants. Grille and top hat are included. Because the MX6P shares its tonal character with the MX6 surface speaker and MX6C ceiling speaker, you can mix all three in one venue and move between zones without the sound changing. Available in black (RAL 9004) or white (RAL 9003); the white version may be priced differently. Pair it with a Quest QX or QXD amplifier.
